The Paradox of Perception

Somewhere between rhythm and chaos, there is a space where movement and form become a meditation on the infinite.

The Man With The Colorful Hats

The men with the colorful hats took me a while to master. I had to get the body proportions and the length of the legs and arms just right before I could duplicate him. The thought process behind the hats, what's that? I wanted to give them all personality without changing the simplicity. When you have something like this in your home, it will add a pop of color without being too loud.

Circus

Circus was inspired by my love for the checkerboard pattern and being able to incorporate more then one pattern at a time. The thought process that I went through when picking the colors and composition was that I wanted it to be circus-like but also to incorporate movement.

Intricate Dots

When I worked on Intricate Dots it took me a while to finish. Every time I worked on it it felt a sense of peace. Then when I was finished I was amazed with the way that the paper was so busy but still balanced.

Rocky Sand

Matter contemplates itself. Boundaries form only to dissolve, as if remembering their origin in some unbroken, undivided field. Each edge holds its opposite, each curve a fragment of the infinite. What seems solid is only stillness caught in motion, the brief illusion of a form... forever fading in and out of being.
